Following the Intel Friday Night Game, which featured the semi-finals, the two teams to make it to the season final were x6tence and DN-Gaming.
While a season final usually provides an entertaining match, the season nine final of the Spanish ESL Pro Series was dominated from start to end by x6tence.
The final started on de_inferno with x6tence on the CT side, from where they managed to win the pistol round after retaking the A bombsite where the bomb was planted.
The following three rounds went in favor of x6tence, only in the fifth round DN finally managed to claim their first and last round of the half. x6tence went from 4-1 to 14-1, which certainly gave them a solid starting point for the second half. DN couldn't strike back after the restarts and x6tence went on to take two rounds in a row for first map victory 16-1.
Moving on to de_dust2, x6tence started on the Terrorists side and won the third pistol round of the match and went up 3-0. DN then managed to make it 1-3 by fending off x6tence on the B bombsite. DN failed to impress again after winning the round, only managing to win the tenth and fithteenth round, making it a 12-3 lead for x6tence at half-time.
For the fourth time in the match x6tence won the pistol round and went on to win another three in a row to win 16-3 and 2-0 overall to be crowned champions of the ninth ESL Pro Series in Spain.
